Emergency cash vouchers have the most impact on community members made vulnerable by environmental disasters, displaced by conflict and war or who are experiencing gender-based violence. Cash vouchers put power and decision making into people’s own hands.
Oxfam believes that one of the more effective ways we can provide immediate relief to the most vulnerable is by working alongside local partners and communities.
A cash voucher provides support to survivors or households for up to 6 months. They can use the money for nutritious food, tools, clean water, medication or whatever they see fit. This item supports our Saving Lives Fund.
